Safety Tip: Place candles on heat-resistant surface. Keep wick centered. Never allow flame to directly touch any glass surface. Never leave burning candles unattended.
General Candle Tip: Trim wick before lighting to 1/4” in length. Always trim the wick when the candle is cold enabling you to remove any trimmings. Many wicks are designed to produce a small black carbon cap as they burn. This is normal.
Container Candle Tip: For best performance, burn all container candles until the liquid wax covers the entire top of the candle. This will ensure a clean & efficient burning cycle for the life of the candle. If your candle burns unevenly due to a draft, carefully push the wick toward the higher side with a non-flammable object.
Votive Burning Tip: Votive burning is fun & inexpensive, however clean up can be a chore. Eliminate the aggravation by placing a teaspoon of water into the holder before placing in the votive. This makes removal of the base easy after the candle has completely burned.
Wax Removal Tip: To remove wax from most metal holders, place the holder in a freezer overnight. Wax will pop off if scraped with a plastic knife. If you’re in a hurry, use a hair dryer on the hottest setting and clean off with a paper towel. Wax can be removed from most fabrics by placing paper towels under and over the spot and ironing until the wax is melted and absorbed by the towel.
Never leave a burning candle unattended and keep it out of reach of children.
Never touch or move a votive or container candle when the wax is liquid.
Always use an appropriate candleholder placed on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
