How Shipping Charges Are Calculated:
I live in Pennsylvania which is Zone 1 with the US Postal System. Candles are quite heavy, especially the jar candles, so in order to make sure that I do not "loose my shirt" to a customer who lives in zones 5, 6, 7 and 8 - I needed to create a shipping chart based on those prices for those zones.
I am not in business to make a profit on shipping costs. Generally speaking, if I have collected enough money from you for shipping, I will purchase a delivery confirmation and/or insurance in order to give you the best deal for your purchase. Insurance really protects you from broken or damaged items. Also, during the summer months it could be possible that your candles are sitting in a "hot", overheated from the sun and temperature, truck waiting to be delivered. Candles can warp, they can melt and deform from extreme heat.
So far, my prices are pretty much "right on" with the actual shipping charges from the post office and I think you will be satisfied.
